HISTORY

As early as 1987, MRS. NAIDA S. BABOL saw the need of accessible medical services in rural areas by putting up clinics and hospitals and providing health workers and paramedics. The idea of establishing a school of midwifery dawned upon her because of the need of midwives, not only in their hospital and clinics, but also in government health institutions and rural units.

Together with her husband, DR. SAMUEL J. BABOL, the Babol Paramedical Institute and School of Midwifery, Inc. was established in 1989 at Matalam, North Cotabato. They have made also their main hospital, the Babol General Hospital as the students’ training ground for rigid medical practices and immersion aside from government hospitals.

Along with its pursuit for excellence, NVCFI offered Academic Programs that are responsive to the needs and aspiration of Cotabateños. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Associate in Computer Science were offered in the year 2010 and Government Recognitions were issued on 2012.

With the clamor to meet the health science education needed for the growing population of the city and the nearby provinces, NVCFI offered the BS in Medical Technology, BS in Pharmacy and BS in Psychology in 2012 with the Government Recognition No. 010 series of 2016 for BS in Med Tech and GR # 011 series of 2016 for BS Pharmacy.

In response to the trend of times, NVCFI offered Technical Vocational Courses such as – Computer Systems Servicing NC II, Health Care Servicing NC II, Barangay Health Servicing NC II and Emergency Servicing NC II.

During the school year 2015-2016, NVCFI applied for another traditional program to the CHED, the Bachelor of Arts in Communication and the temporary Permit was granted.
